Flotronic 'one-nut' Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps

Air operated double diaphragm pumps are an ideal solution to many pump applications; they are cost effective and can pump a wide range of chemicals and fluids over a wide viscosity envelope. Combined with dry running and self priming abilities they are a truly versatile pump design. However until recently, finding a sanitary designed diaphragm pump has been a costly proposition for many clients. Process Pumps is proud to make avaialble the UK manufactured range of Flotronic air operated diaphragm pumps, which are ideal for use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

The Flotronic diaphragm pump has many unique features: Liquid passes through the centre body of the pump, rather than through external manifolds, leading to a compact efficient design. The centre housing and manifolds are machined from a solid block of the desired pump material (ie 316 Stainless Steel, Virgin Polypropylene, and Teflon) leading to a smooth, clean liquid surface. Metal constructed pumps can polished to further enhance this finish. Flotronic pumps are fitted with Teflon elasomers as standard, and have exceptional diaphragm life by utilising a shorter stroke than many other diaphragm pumps, reducing wear and providing a gentle pumping action.

Another outstanding feature of the Flotronic diaphragm pump is the 'one-nut' principal. Access to the diaphragms and liquid chambers can be achieved by simply removing one nut. Allowing for easy maintenance and cleaning. Diaphragm changes, cleaning, and air valve maintenance can all be achieved without removing the pump from the connecting pipe-work. Such maintenance can be achieved in as little as 15 minutes. Pump sizes range from ½" to 3" covering a flow range of 55 to 908 Litres/minute. A vast range of options can be fitted to the pumps, such as rupture protection systems and stroke counters.
